The Satellite Healthcare Intern is provided an opportunity to experience the healthcare industry first-hand. By applying their education in a real-life working environment, they will receive a solid foundation of practical experience. Through project-based

work across key business initiatives, as well as hands-on experience, they will be exposed to many aspects of the business. The projects will be varied and are based on the needs of the participating departments.

Working in partnership with others, you will build a network of support to help you develop professionally. The Intern will be provided the opportunity to be involved with the daily functions of the department. This position will be faced with the prospect

of continued guidance through professional development and mentorship. Further details regarding projects and departmental responsibilities will be provided upon commencement of internship.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for assisting with special projects, preparation of documents and presentations

  • Prepare documents and presentations for department staff and management

  • Willingly performs other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks for the assigned group as needed

  • Responsible for contributing to the Satellite Healthcare culture through exemplification of company values and customer service standards

  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication

  • Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a second-year student or above or a recent college graduate (within the last 12 months) with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Students in all majors

will be considered.

Experience: One (1) year of customer service experience through either working or volunteering preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

  • Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute in a fun, fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter that brings both interpersonal skills and creative problem solving skills

  • Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others

  • Able to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate with others in English in person, over the phone and via email
