The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development, execution, and success of our digital content and campaigns. This position will manage a variety of digital platform strategies ranging from social media, online paid/organic search, integrated

campaigns, analytics, and optimization and video production. The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Director, Corporate Communications & Marketing.

Essential Functions

  • Department lead for digital marketing and advertising management for Satellite Healthcare’s websites, social media pages, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO); create strategy and the execution of our digital marketing management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and communications plans that leverage the social media/digital space as it relates to patients, physicians and the greater medical community.

  • Responsible for developing content across owned and earned social channels; this includes blog posts, tweets, status updates, pins, photos and videos.

  • Create, manage and grow business presence across online media channels, including, but not limited to, blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, YouTube and Instagram.

  • Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

  • Participate in internal marketing efforts, events, and application of campaign development and measurement; work collaboratively with various departments to implement approved strategies.

  • Educate colleagues and management about digital media, trends and best practices for creating impactful digital experiences.

  • Recommend strategies for specific department and territory needs regarding direct-to-patient, physician and medical community marketing that include, but not limited to, creating content, budget, audience outreach, email, paid advertising, SEO, social mediaand more.

  • Develop a geographical digital marketing plan (search, SEO, etc.) and budget to fit the needs and direction of the organization.

  • Monthly reporting of analytics, financial spend and results to the Director, Corporate Communications & Marketing.

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of existing and new service lines.

  • Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards.

  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationship through effective and timely communication.

  • Take initiative to deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers. Respond, resolve and follow up in a timely manner when issues arise.


Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; major in Advertising/Marketing/Communications


  • Five (5) years of marketing, communications or digital media experience

  • Experience writing, editing, and crafting content for the social media

  • Video production and editing experience

  • Graphic design experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Foursquare, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, Google Communities

  • Knowledge of social media management and analytics tools including, but not limited to HootSuite, Radian 6, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and Crimson Hexagon

  • Ability to create video content for internal communications and social media

  • Graphic design capabilities

  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple requests with changing priorities

  • High energy, enthusiastic, ambitious, driven and self-motivated, diplomatic and can bring a positive attitude to the office

  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated communications team

  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends to support events

  • Well-organized, a strong communicator, mission-driven and has a strong aptitude for digital marketing
